Nowadays, more and more teenagers suffer from poor eyesight, and wearing glasses has become common among middle school students. Poor eyesight brings trouble to our study and daily life, so it is necessary for us to protect our eyes carefully.
There are two main reasons for this problem. First, students spend too much time on electronic products. We often watch short videos and play games on mobile phones. Staring at bright screens for a long time makes our eyes tired and dry, and our eyesight gradually declines. Second, many of us have bad reading habits. Some read books in dark rooms or lie in bed while reading. Others keep studying for hours without rest, which slowly harms our eyes.
We can take effective action to change this situation. We should control our screen time and rest our eyes every forty minutes by looking at distant green plants. We also need to keep the right sitting posture when reading. Doing eye exercises every day is helpful. Moreover, more outdoor activities are important. Natural light can effectively protect our eyesight.
Eyes are the windows of our soul. Once eyesight is damaged, it is hard to get better. We should form good habits right away and take good care of our eyes.
